Oberland Agriscience inc. (Halifax, NS) rears black soldier fly larvae (BSFL) which are used as a nutrient-rich, high quality protein ingredient for pet food, aquaculture and agricultural feed. And they’re doing this in a zero-waste, solar and wind powered facility using pre-consumer food waste to feed the larvae.
