In 2010, and with an eye to opportunity and change, the Middelkamps moved their farm from the Netherlands to Alberry Plains, Prince Edward Island. Their farm in the Netherlands used to be certified organic and Middelkamp Organic Produce became certified in early 2013. Now run by Eelco Middelkamp, the farm is a force in bulk production of organic vegetables and grains.

Several factors contributed to the move to Prince Edward Island, including land quality and lifestyle.

The Middelkamps built a new warehouse and installed new grain tanks at their new location.  They grow soybeans, barley, wheat, oats, potatoes, onions, red beets, celery and broccoli.  Product is sold to Quebec and the Maritimes.
