The public comment period for the proposed updates to the 2025 Canadian Organic Standards (COS) is now open! Over 60 days, farmers, processors, stakeholders, and supporters of organic can weigh in on the draft revisions. Whether you have technical insight, suggested edits, or general feedback, your voice can help shape the future of organic in Canada. This review happens only once every five years—now is the time to get involved and strengthen the standards that support our organic community. See below submission forms, and all the details you need to take part in the review process

Your comment can be
- general (ge) – you provide information or your opinion about a proposed modification that might lead to a revision of a proposed modification
- technical (te) – you provide technical information that might lead to a revision of a proposed modification
- editorial (ed) – you suggest rewording a clause, fixing a typo, or another editorial change that does not change the intent or meaning of the standard.
