On-Farm Climate Action Fund now Open

The On-Farm Climate Action Fund (OFCAF) is part of the Government of Canada's Agricultural Climate Solutions, a multi-stream program to help farmers tackle climate change. Farmers can receive funding to implement beneficial management practices that store carbon and reduce greenhouse gases, specifically in the areas of improved nitrogen management, cover cropping, and rotational grazing.

You can apply with the following implementation partners:

ECOCERT Canada will be implementing the fund in NS and NB in the areas of cover cropping and nitrogen management. Applications must be received by July 15, 2022. Eligibility and details. Application FORM.

Perennia Food and Agriculture Inc. will be implementing the fund in Nova Scotia and in Newfoundland and Labrador in the areas of cover cropping, nitrogen management, and rotational grazing. Training for farmers and agronomists will also be offered over the two-year program, which ends in March 2024.
