Since 2000 the Atlantic Canadian Organic Regional Network (ACORN) has played a key role in developing and delivering resources for organic farmers and consumers in the Atlantic region. The organization also performs a vital function in representing the region’s growing organic sector in communication with government and other national organizations.
ACORN’s Atlantic Organic Production Survey, a one-of-a-kind data collection initiative, gathers the voices of organic producers and processors to glean insight into their current operations and plans for the future. This year ACORN is administering its most robust survey to date, and will use the data generated through responses to inform future goals for the organization, contribute to organic sector research on a national level, and to continue advocating for the needs of the organic sector to provincial governments in Atlantic Canada.
