If you are interested in learning more about the role these plants can play in our lives, be sure to join for this full-day intensive workshop.

Foundations in Herbal Healing with Nancy Phillips
June 22nd 10:00am-5:00pm

As a seasoned herbalist, Nancy will help jumpstart you into becoming a capable home herbalist. Nancy shares her love of herbs, health and healing by infusing the ancient art of herbalism and traditional folk medicine with current scientific research and common sense. You’ll learn how to identify, harvest and use herbs for enhancing health and treating common ailments. Reputable resources, safety issues, tips and plenty of encouragement will be shared. The morning will focus on ten common herbs that can be used for family health and well being. Workshop participants will identify, taste, and discuss the healing qualities of herbs and the afternoon will be devoted to medicine making. You’ll learn how to create your own safe and effective medicinal strength teas, tinctures, oils, and salves. This class will include demonstrations as well as some hands-on activities. Lunch will be provided.
