Did you know that ACORN has a full inventory of
educational books/resources?
May 12 Transition Bay St. Margarets
presents the Crossroads Education Vegetable Garden Installation–to
establish a public educational vegetable garden intended to inspire
everyone about the ease and productivity of growing some of your own
vegetables. We will be installing at least 3 raised beds and a large
'insta-garden' potato patch. An 'insta-garden' is made by laying down
cardboard on top of lawn, and placing 3 to 6" of soil or compost on top
the cardboard. Traditionally, the first crop is potatoes. By the time
the cardboard breaks down, the grass is dead and the potatoes grow
through. For details on how to join in on this worthwhile opportunity,
contact Bob Cervelli robert.cervelli@gmail.com.
